Behind many chip tuning warranties is the NSA warranty, with standardised insurance terms and prices. We set ourselves apart from other providers by offering our warranties with no commission and no additional charges for issuing the policy. This allows us to offer them on especially favourable terms.
Be wary of warranties from other providers
“Free warranties”
Some providers advertise seemingly free warranties. These often cannot be equated with genuine warranties, however, as they have neither coverage amounts nor detailed terms. A genuine warranty requires an insurance premium to ensure that costs are covered in the event of a claim.
A genuine warranty vs. a “software warranty”
It is important to understand that with some free warranties, often only the software is insured — not actual damage to the vehicle itself. The software on a vehicle cannot “disappear” or be damaged the way physical components can. Such warranties therefore offer no real protection in the event of physical damage to the vehicle. This underlines the importance of choosing a comprehensive warranty that covers genuine damage.
